The British Virgin Islands are the best cruising grounds in the world.  And no wonder!  The water is a beautiful turquoise blue, warm winds blow consistently form the east and white beaches invite you to run barefoot through the sand.

You’ll start your incredible vacations in Road Town, Tortola.    There are two common ways to get to Road Town.  You can fly to St Thomas and take a ferry to Road Town.  You can also fly to Beef Island on Tortola by changing planes in San Juan.  If you fly to Beef Island, then take a taxi from the airport to your hotel.

Look to arrive Saturday and stay the night at one of the great local hotels.  On Sunday morning, get breakfast at the Village Cay Marina and board Arabella’s tender.  Arabella’s is too deep to come all the way in to the marina so she sits at anchor outside the harbor waiting for your arrival.  Our crew will deliver you and your bags to Arabella between 8 and 10 a.m.   Once on-board the yacht, you will meet the captain and crew, be shown to your cabin and then have an opportunity to stow your bags.  Then it is time to hoist the anchor and set sail.

The itinerary for each trip will be different.  See the posted itineraries above.  Some of the great potential stops along the way are:

The Baths where we will anchor and you can jump in the water, snorkel or walk through the incredible boulders ashore.

Marina Cay where there is a great bar on this small island which affords a perfect view of the setting sun.  Also walk to the top of the island and look out over Sir Francis Drake Channel.

North Sound and the world famous Bitter End Yacht Club which has a relaxing and refreshing spa.

Jost Van Dyck, home to the Soggy Dollar Bar and Foxy’s Restaurant.

Norman Island which inspired many pirate novels and is home to amazing caves for snorkeling.

If you have never been to the British Virgin Islands, you are missing the best part of the Caribbean.  If you have already been, then you probably can’t wait to go back!
